l was tempted to try printing with white ink on a black Somerset paper bought from Intaglio :

l think they work quite well and will return to in the future. l just wish there was a wider range of coloured etching paper.












These images show some preliminary drawings for a new woodcut design, yet again with an aeronautical theme!

This is the resulting print based on sketches in my posting of 20/07/2007.
l'm quite happy with the result but would make changes in any future repeat of this - but not just yet as this took me 3 attempts!

l had my first attempt at waterless plate lithography last Sunday, tutored by Chris Doran another member of Birmingham Printmakers - he gives one day courses in this method.
This print form lends itself to a more drawn/sketch/painterly approach than others and l am looking forward to exploring further in the near future.
