Cold War Wings

This design takes inspiration from the wing profiles of some British designed classic aircraft - Avro Vulcan, Handley Page Victor, Vickers Valiant and English Electric Lightning - symbolic of the 50’s and 60’s period of the Cold War.
Below is a drawing from which l will base the etching

Birmingham Printmakers are participating in a festival of printmaking - Impress 09 - centred on Stroud and run by Gloucestershire Printmaking Cooperative.
The website is very informative with a calendar of events, details on the artists and print studios participating, slideshow of works in the exhibition and a great catalogue.
