West Pier

On a recent visit to Brighton l had time to sketch a little of the remains of the West Pier which was sadly destroyed by fire to leave a few fragments which will also be erased to make way for the building of an observation tower. Better to have left the remnants of the pier to decay over time and with nature, leaving a captivating arena like to be enjoyed and maybe responded to by visiting artists as it seems to resemble the site of an art installation.
